Medical expense fundraiser for Tong Kou Yang

Hello everyone.

I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my brother, Tong Kou Yang, to help pay for his medical expenses. On October of 2020, Tong was hospitalized for COVID, however the silver lining to his infection was that they found him to have cancer. Had he not gone in to be treated, we would never have known that his body was fighting something far worse than COVID.

After numerous blood tests and bone biopsies, he was diagnosed with stage three Acute Myeloid Leukemia. It is an aggressive cancer of the blood and bone marrow. For the past 4 months, he has been in and out of the hospital every other day for opportunistic infections, blood transfusions, and chemotherapy. Tong has endured every obstacle thus far and continues to remain strong and positive for his family. His four children have been his strength to fight through each chemo treatment. Although he recently completed his 4th and last chemotherapy, he still has a long road of recovery ahead. 

Due to the rigorous treatment of his cancer and his condition, Tong has not been able to work. Medical bills are the last thing him and his family need to worry about.

The money from this fundraiser will go towards all of Tong’s medical expenses! Every little bit helps. If you are unable to donate monetarily, please pray that he will get through this unforeseen setback and beat cancer.
