Dear friends,
As you may know, our father, Peter Riley, was diagnosed last fall with cancer.
The cancer was caught on a routine screening chest Xray, and because he had no symptoms, it had spread by the time it was detected. In January he started chemo and immuno therapy. He will have several months of infusions, followed by a partial lung resection (surgery), anticipated in April.
I'm writing to ask you to donate anything you can to this fund for him. As many of you know, my dad is self-employed and during his surgical recovery time this spring he will not be able to work as frequently resulting in mounting medical bills. His focus needs to be on recovery and not on the devastating cost.
We appreciate any donations and are grateful for your healing thoughts, prayers and positive energy. My dad is lucky to have a close and loving family and to be surrounded by an incredibly supportive community. As he said recently, "I have more photos to take, more pianos to tune, more songs to sing and more kisses to give."
With gratitude,
Erin and Leah Marvin-Riley
