Medical Expense for Tucker Anderson
Donation protected
Hello, My name is Sharon Kauffman. My grandson Tucker Anderson is 1 1/2 years old, full of life, funny and completely wonderful. He had what we all thought was the same cold everyone has. On January 10th he was admitted to Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland, WY. with a stuffy nose, fever, dehydration, and vomiting. The staff at Platte County hospital were terrific and did everything they could to help Tucker and discovered that he had pneumonia. On January 12th, Doctors thought it would be best to send him to Denver as he was not getting better. He was taken to Denver's Children's Hospital by ambulance.
Tucker has been in kidney failure. Doctors are still not sure why this happened. My grandson has had several rounds of dialysis; he has been incubated on a breathing machine. It's tough to watch, and he has undergone a kidney biopsy. He also had to have a blood transfusion because his body wasn't making red blood cells. He has steroid IVs once a day to try and kick start his kidney. Seeing Iv's on both his little arms and legs and neck is heart-wrenching. He is now on blood pressure medicine due to other medication. He has also tested positive for RSV along with his pneumonia. At this time, his amazing doctors are hoping to jump-start his kidneys to work again. Steroids seem to be helping along with fluids, dialysis, and blood transfusion. We are still waiting on more test results. At this time, I'm asking for everyone to help with prayer and financial help. No one likes to ask for help. However, my daughter Kristina Anderson and son-in-law Rich Anderson are Tuckers Parents, and they need some peace of mind. They have not left his side. We all know how expensive this type Of care can be.
