Hello. Meet Evelyn. At two weeks old she was diagnosed with a rare liver disease called biliary atresia. Occurring in only 1 in every 15,000 babies in the US, my husband and I were devastated for our daughter. As a mother hearing your child has a chronic and fatal medical condition is the worst news you can get. So we came together as a family and reached out to all our prayer warriors. At 6 weeks old Evelyn had an abdominal surgery to connect her intestines to her liver to drain the backed up bile causing cirrhosis and damage. Without correcting this issue, it would result in end stage liver failure. She is recovering well and we are waiting to see if surgery “worked”. If not, our next step is liver transplant. After all the hospital stays, medications, test, specialized formula, and time off work - we have drained our finances. For the first time in my life I am asking for help. If you’re able any assistance you provide will go towards past due medical expenses, basic home care needs, and upcoming costs. If not, that’s okay too. I just ask you take a minute to pause and say a prayer for healing for my Evelyn. Thank you for taking the time to read our page. May you find continued blessings in your life.
