MEDICAL EXPENSE AND FAMILY SUPPORT

Blasius Asanya, is a sixth-grade Math teacher at Tanglewood Middle School, Greenville SC. He hails from Cameroon, precisely Ewai Batibo, and was involved in a terrible car crash on Jan. 1. 2022 and is presently at the hospital unconcious

Mr. Asanya came to Greenville to teach in August 2021. He was only 5 months in the US when he got into this heartbreaking situation.

His wife and two young children were still living back in Cameroon when it happened. They were flown to the United States on January 23rd, 2022 to care for their husband and father. With no family members around, a fellow Cameroonian family opted to host them in Columbia SC, 2hrs away from the hospital where Blasius Asanya is currently admitted. The Cameroonian family lives with the kids, while Mr. Asanya's wife, Yvette, shuffles between Columbia and Spartanburg Medical Center to take care of her husband. It's not been easy in this situation, but we are here, trying our best to be strong.

As we speak, Mr. Asanya is still at the Spartanburg Medical Center and his medical bills are mounting. The worst is, that the family has been asked to rent a home in Spartanburg, and buy medical equipment such as the hospital bed, medications, feeding, and other sophisticated apparel needed for his move. This is required so that the doctors/nurses can stop by a couple of times a week for check-ups.

Yvette is not working and can not afford any of this not to talk of taking care of 2 kids and their father who is unconcious. Pressure is being mounted for his move, so the family is pleading for financial help, moral support, and prayers at this time.

We are calling on our Cameroonian family, the Batibo community, and anyone willing to help a fellow brother.
