Medical equipment to help with Theo’s TSW

A few of you will know about the awful condition Theo has been going through for the last 6 months, Theo is going through Topical steroid withdrawal which is a debilitating condition that can arise from the use of topical steroids to treat skin conditions such as eczema. It is characterised by red, itchy and burning skin after stopping the use of topical steroid creams. TSW comes with severe secondary complications resulting in multiple daily interventions for a long period of time.

This has stopped him from sleeping, going to school, and even leaving the house most days as wearing clothes is too irritating for him. Because of Theo’s Autism he is suffering even more as the constant itch and weep of his skin is causing him to have extreme sensory meltdowns. This has severely impacted Theo’s life and he is in severe pain daily. I sleep in with Theo every night due to him being awake most of the night with a deep down bone itch that never ceases which is another side effect from TSW. This has massively impacted the whole family.

we have spent hundreds of pounds on medication and different things to try and help with all the side affects including Chinese medicine.

We are setting up this page to try and raise funds to help us buy a Red light therapy device which is massively helpful in helping skin regeneration which could help to speed up Theo’s healing but unfortunately it costs £1000, money we haven’t got spare due to me not being able to go to work as I have to care for Theo as he isn’t in school.

If anyone can spare even the smallest amount of money to help us buy this device it would be greatly appreciated. We just want Theo back to himself happy and healthy so he can enjoy life again and also will help us to spread awareness of this awful condition.
