Hi, my name is Leigh, and I’m fundraising for my daughter, Kara, to help cover the cost of her medical equipment and treatments.

We’ve recently had some major family changes, and with that came a change in insurance. While we wait for all the paperwork to process, we’ve been hit with unexpected costs including a $790 medical bill and the full cost of a nebulizer that Kara needs to help her breathe.

Kara is 4 years old and has been hospitalized seven times in the past year for respiratory distress. After countless tests and appointments, we learned she has underlying vascular and immune issues that make her especially vulnerable to infections. She’s had pneumonia eight times and continues to see multiple specialists to manage her care.

We finally have a preventative treatment plan in place that gives us hope… but the total upfront cost is nearly $1,000, and that’s before insurance catches up.

Any contribution, no matter how small, would go directly toward Kara’s medical expenses, equipment, and the treatments that keep her home and out of the hospital.
