UPDATE (Jan. 2024)
With the ticking clock echoing, we are urgently rallying to gather US $350,000 for Marguerite's impending CAR T cell operation abroad, set for Monday, February 12, 2024.
Time is running out, and your prompt financial contribution or the simple act of sharing the fundraiser link can be the turning point.
This isn't just a plea for funds; it's a call to our community to be the vital support Marguerite needs during this critical moment. Your involvement, no matter how small, can be the force that ensures she faces her challenges with the strength of collective compassion.

Dear family, friends, and friends of friends,

We need your support to help a wonderfully amazing woman survive her battle with cancer in Beirut, Lebanon.

At the beginning of this year you all stepped up and supported when we asked for your support.
Realize at this point we’re looking for a miracle turning to our community to ask for help again, considering the amount needed, but every little bit helps and we will be forever grateful however you can support.

Margot (Marguerite), a 23-year-old young woman, is the daughter of a close family friend.
At the beginning of 2023, she was diagnosed with lymphoma and was in need of urgent care. To make matters worse, she lost her father a year ago and was working multiple jobs to financially support her mother and younger sister.

While the 6 sessions of chemo initially had a positive outcome, she will now need a bone marrow transplant, and as such, she will start 3 sessions of ICE (Ifosfamide, Carboplatin, and Etoposide) as a preparation for the bone marrow transplant. The ICE regimen is often used to further reduce cancer cells in the body before a bone marrow or stem cell transplant is performed.

We hope that with your contribution and support we can raise at least a portion of the funds to help her and her family through this extremely difficult time and give her a fighting chance to get through this.

Going through cancer treatment is challenging enough, so if we can help alleviate the financial burden and stress, it will help them focus on the healing process, make an immense difference and a huge impact.

Thanks in advance for taking a moment to read this, for contributing, and for sharing with your family and friends.

Additional context:
Lebanon is victim to one of the world's worst financial and political crises since the mid-19th century—with the local currency losing 90% of its value since 2019. Citizens are deprived of their basic necessities (electricity, gas, daily bread), and medicine shortages are threatening tens of thousands of people, including cancer patients. The Health Ministry’s stockpiles of critical medicine are now empty, and many hospitals are unable to secure supplies from importers.
