Medical emergency financially ruined us

Hi my name is Jessica and I am absolutely destroyed making this gofund me but the last 4 and a half months unable to get back to work after being sidelined from work for 2 years due to covid absolutely desscimated our bank account. I have a rare progressive swallowing disorder that over the past 2 yrs took a complete nosedive into the terminology end stage(stress makes the disease far worse and we were all hit so hard with covid) being unable to teach classes in canada and overseas destroyed any savings we had. Clawing our way back to breathing space over the summer I was looking forward to returning to teaching classes in asia when disaster struck. Unable to keep any food or water in ,my body was seriously struggling, emergency massive surgery was scheduled for Sept and should have really only been a week long stay. Unfortunately the surgery went sideways and the feeding tube was completely non functioning. Many more surgeries were to be had and one week turned into 4 and half months inpatient .while I am no where near healed or ready I am trying to scramble to do any work I can. Although this long in bed and with no nutrition and severely dehydrated this is going to be a difficult task. So much if what we had to make it an extra month went to supplies that aren't covered and making the house accessible (who new bandages are 70 per ?)

I know that everyone of us is struggling beyond words right now I just don't know how we will make it to pay housing and bills everything left was gone on the first of 2023. I am waiting on AISH and hopefully they will soon stop stalling but right now I am at the mercy of swallowing my pride with my tears and truly begging for help. Many years ago I asked for help in saving my child during a medical crisis and the response did indeed save her life. If you can't help I truly understand share the GFM or send us some love and positive thoughts Amanda is currently trying to finish school and cannot leave me long enough to take on extra work. She is my only nurse from medications to bathing to extreme dressing changes. I know this will only be temporary and better days are ahead. We just need help to make it to them.
