Medical Emergency! Help Mary Save Her Ankle
Donation protected
Folks I need help!!
For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Frank Dickinson. Three years ago, I lost my wife of 23 years to cancer.
In January of this year, I started dating again and I’ve met someone.
Her name is Mary Marti, and she is amazing. Kind, considerate, loving and widowed like me. I’m happy again and Mary and I have made plans for the future. No, we’re no married (yet).
Here’s where I need some help. In July, Mary was in a motorcycle accident. She was in New Mexico on a short vacation.
By the grace of God, she made it through the accident, but was still injured with a broken collarbone, bummed up knee and a very badly broken left ankle.
Like many of us, Mary is uninsured, and we have fought two hospitals trying to get them to repair her ankle. Since the injury is not life threatening, they have refused care without money up front.
A Patient Advocate has secured a Medical Assistance Grant to pay for much of the surgery (thankfully), but she will have a remaining balance of $2500 that has to be paid before the grant will kick in.
I/we have tried everything imaginable to raise the $2500. Medicaid, local medical assistance organizations, charitable groups, friends, family etc., etc. Unfortunately, nothing has worked.
Because of the delay, her ankle will need to be broken again by the doctors in order to set it properly. Physical therapy will need to happen as well.
As you can imagine, Mary desperately needs this surgery to fix her ankle so she/we can return to a normal life.
All funds raised will be held here until the goal is reached and then go directly to the hospital to pay the balance of $2500 so the grant will kick in.
Many of you helped with a GoFundMe three years ago during that stressful time.
Simply put, I’m asking for your help again.
Please know I hate to even have to ask after everything you guys have done for me. To say I’m desperate is an exact truth at this point.
Thanking you in advance. Every little bit helps.
Frank
P.S. Mary and I will definitely consider a loan if that works better for you. Message me.
