Subject: A Father’s Plea for Support – Help My Son Recover

Dear Friends and Kind-Hearted Community,

I am writing this with great humility and a heavy heart, seeking your support during the most challenging time of my life. My 16-year-old son, a brilliant student with a perfect school attendance record since Year 6, has been in the hospital since August 2024. Until his admission, he had no birth or genetic health issues.

After being hospitalized, the doctors diagnosed him with TB, along with complications in his lungs, kidneys, and heart. Despite six long months of treatment, it has been difficult to accept these diagnoses as he looks fine in many ways. Yet, the battle continues.

As parents, my wife and I are struggling every moment, staying by his side day and night. It’s heartbreaking to watch our once-energetic son confined to a hospital bed, still determined to study and keep up with his GCSEs even from the hospital. His resilience inspires us, but our hearts break knowing how much he is enduring.

My situation has added to the burden—I am an IT consultant who lost my job, and we are now struggling to manage day-to-day expenses while trying to support his recovery. We are at a point where we need to create a hospital-like environment at home with urgent arrangements, including a raising head bed and other essential equipment, as his condition prevents him from sleeping flat due to fluids near his lungs.

We are appealing for your generosity and kindness. Every little contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping us care for our son and provide him with the resources he needs to recover. Your support means the world to us during this unimaginable time.

Living in this country without a job while watching my son fight this battle is beyond what words can describe. As a father, it pains me deeply to see my brilliant, hardworking child go through this ordeal.
