As you know our Dad, Dwayne W. Gomez, has been dealing with his ongoing health issues.

He is making tremendous progress.

He is out of ICU and is stable. He is NOT physically 100 % back on his feet but he is making improvements everyday.

Our Dad has been transferred to three different hospitals in a short period of time.

We appreciate every prayer, phone call, text message , and visit he has received.

It has really helped him during this rough time.

We are now working hard to get our Dad back on track with his personal finances. We are still in the process of getting him assistance but the process is taking more time than expected.

His much needed treatments will be stopped if he can not pay his deductible and medical payment plan.

To our family and friends…

My father has been going through a financial hardship.

 

He is unable to work and he is needing help to continue to receive medical treatment.

 

In 2018, my father, Dwayne Gomez, was diagnosed with Non- Hodgkin Lymphoma, low-grade B-cell Cancer. He was told that his cancer is incurable.

 

In 2021, every 3 to 4 months my father was hospitalized for up to 2 weeks, only to be stabilized and sent home.

 

On April 15, 2022, my father was admitted to Citizens Hospital in Victoria, Tx. Due to complications of his illness, shortness of breath, steady stream of nose bleeds, and coughing blood for over 2 months.

He was then transported by ambulance to MD Anderson in Houston shortly after arriving to the ER.

 

He was admitted into MD Anderson for one month, spending the first 4 days in ICU.

 

While hospitalized he was diagnosed with Myeloma Cancer, another cancer that affects his blood as well as his plasma cells. My father has many other complications to other parts of his organs and was in need of dialysis.

 

My father's cancer is a rare cancer and due to his myloma he constantly needs blood transfusions and plasma platlets to help stabilize his condition.

 

He has now started chemotherapy and returns to the ER every other day due to complications of his illness.

 

We are asking for prayers and donations to help him with medical expenses. Any donations are greatly appreciated.

 

This has not been an easy time for our father, his children and grandchildren. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions and his very Low immune system. When hospitalized my father can not be surrounded by his children and his grandchildren who love and miss him dearly.

 

While we are blessed as a family to have amazing people surrounding us. Please continue to keep my father in your prayers.
