Update: I have developed crippling migraines and visual dysfunction from this procedure that has upended my life. I am currently trying new medicines to try counter act this and make it so life gets normal again. I’ve been on short term disability which has ended. I am working hours at work but cannot hit my 40 or even close. We are going to have to move if this keeps up. Our rent is going to be raised.
I had another TIA(cold stroke) in early may 2025 and have been barely able to function normally as of recently.
In July 2024, I had a cold stroke that led to the discovery of two aneurysms deep in my skull, one next to my eye and the other next to my brain. In September, I received a procedure to insert a flow diverter into my brain.
Insurance did not cover most of this surgery for me, leaving me with an astronomical bill that will take me and my family a long time to clear. We are barely surviving with my wife and my combined salaries, trying to keep our heads above water in the current economic situation we live in.
I ask you all for whatever help you can spare to help me provide a safe and happy life for Lillian in this trying time of recovery. I went back to work within two weeks of brain surgery to try and ensure my employer they can count on me. It has been tough moving fast through this recovery.
