Hi, my name is Ciara Colwell, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest times in our lives.
My husband is currently in the hospital diagnosed with advanced heart failure. His liver and kidneys are having to be consistently monitotrd due to the stress caused by the heart medications. He has been going through constant tests, scans, medications, and transfers between hospitals as doctors work to stabilize him. Right now, he is wearing a life vest, and we still don’t know if he will need surgery or even transplants in the future. Doctors have told us that his current treatment could last anywhere from 3 to 6 months. During this time, he will be unable to work, and as he has been our family’s primary source of income, this has created a significant financial strain. I will also be out of work to care for him full-time and take care of our 8-month-old baby. His recovery afterward may take much longer.
My husband is an auto mechanic who has always worked hard to provide for our family and help others whenever he could. He’s a kind, selfless man, and it’s incredibly difficult to see him going through this.
When he is able to come home, the journey won’t be over. There will be many follow-up appointments, treatments, and ongoing care.
This situation has been incredibly overwhelming for our family and friends. We are asking for help to cover medical expenses, daily living costs, and the care he will need during recovery. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference for our family during this difficult time. If you’re unable to give, sharing our story and your prayers would mean so much to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for your support.
