Our beautiful Ella is just 19 years old and has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive form of brain cancer — a Grade 4 left frontal lobe atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumour. She has already undergone major surgery to remove a large tumour from her frontal lobe, and her journey is far from over.
Ella has been receiving care at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where her consultant has shared that in their entire 17-year career, they have never encountered this type of cancer. She will soon begin an intense 7 month minimum course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy at UCL Hospital in London. I would like to add that Ella was sent home twice just one week before she was diagnosed, there was more times she was sent home over a course of three weeks before her diagnosis.
As a family, we are now facing significant costs for travel, ongoing medical expenses, and essential equipment such as a wheelchair, which Ella will need as her treatment progresses. We are asking for any support you can give during this incredibly difficult time.
Every single donation, no matter how big or small, truly means the world to us and will go directly towards helping Ella through her fight. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
