Medical costs for the Bloom Family

Hi friends-my name is Jennifer and my friend Lauren and I are setting up this gofundme to help our dear friend, Cristina Bloom and her family as they navigate through a horrible and scary medical emergency that recently came on for her son Jackson.

After weeks in the hospital, with Cristina and her husband Dale by his side 24/7, he was unfortunately diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. He recently had to undergo surgery to take out a large part of his intestine and his pain level is unbearable. To make matters even more difficult, Jackson is autistic and on the spectrum and has a huge fear of needles (among other things). He is really going through it.

I should have started this out by saying that Christina did not want any help from anyone and with my pushing her agreed to let us do this go fund me. Christina and her husband Dale both have careers that don’t allow for time off which they both have taken a ton of as you can imagine being by your son, who is in great pain, and not knowing what the reason for such pain was for a long time in the hospital. She has taken off weeks and weeks of work, which is not paid for to care for her son. As many of us are parents, we can imagine that it’s the worst feeling in the world to watch your son in pain and not know the cause. After finding out that it is Crohns and serious, they now also face medical bills in the future that are going to cost a lot of money for specialists that also understand children on the spectrum have special needs as well.

The Bloom family will be caretaking for their son for the near future and won’t be able to work as they are caring for him and finding the care that he needs after he gets out of the hospital. He has been there for over three weeks at this point, and we are praying that he has a speedy recovery from his recent surgery so that treatment can begin.

Prayers are wonderful and are much appreciated from the Bloom family but if you can find it in your heart to donate as well it is much appreciated from the Bloom family as well as me and Lauren who have been friends with Cristina since we were young children.

Cristina is a warrior and does not like to ask for help so I am doing that for her. Thank you for listening to the story and I know anything is appreciated and is going to one of the best families out there. Cristina is always helpful to others and loves hard and her children are her main priority.
