Supporting the Worrall & Alegre Family After a Devastating Tragedy

My name is Jona Jacinto, and I am fundraising on behalf of my family – my mother, Julita Worrall, my aunty Lourdes (Ludy) Alegre, and my uncle Erie Alegre – who were involved in a tragic accident on 16 July 2025 that claimed the life of my beloved stepfather, Charles Worrall. While travelling back to Western Australia along the Victoria Highway in Katherine, their car was struck head-on by a stolen vehicle driving at high speed on the wrong side of the road. Charles did not survive, and my mum, Ludy, and Erie were all rushed to hospital in critical condition.

This unimaginable tragedy has left our family shattered. While insurance may cover some of the ongoing medical costs, there are urgent and immediate expenses that we need help with: Out-of-pocket medical expenses for Ludy and Erie, who are visiting from the Philippines and do not have local support.

Temporary accommodation and travel for family members from WA who need to be in Darwin to care for their loved ones.

Ongoing recovery and rehabilitation costs for Ludy and Erie, who are unable to return to the Philippines for at least two weeks due to the severity of their injuries.

Our hearts are broken as we grieve the loss of Charles while trying to support the recovery of our injured family members. Any contribution – no matter how small – will help us through this incredibly difficult time and allow us to focus on healing and supporting each other.
