At age 7, after being admitted to the Pediatric ICU, Skylar was diagnosed with Juvenile Type 1 Diabetes. Her pancreas no longer works, and she is now completely insulin dependent. This will be a lifelong condition and currently requires full-time care.

The funds we're hoping to raise would allow Skylar to get the continuous blood glucose monitor and insulin pump that she desperately needs to stay healthy. She has had numerous extreme low blood sugars since being released from the hospital, and these devices would help to protect her from these life-threatening lows. Skylar currently requires full-time care, which has required Shellie to take unpaid time from work. Any amount would greatly help this family of 2 to get through this incredibly challenging time.
