Medical costs for Paula Caputo Maslar

Most of you all will know me, but I’m Danny, Paula’s son.

Last month, mom kept complaining of this terrible back pain. Went and saw multiple providers here in Florida without any answers. Went back home to CT and finally got some testing done, only to find out she has cancer.

After further testing, we found out that it’s in the liver, the lung, the spine, and the adrenal gland. Right now, she’s essentially immobile due to the overwhelming amount of pain she’s in. She’s started radiation, but that takes time.

This is being set up to help her with the cost of treatment, as well as her own financial obligations since she is unable to work at present.

Mom isn’t the one to typically ever ask for help, she’s usually the one offering it, so this has been a very difficult thing for her to get behind. She’s the “bitchy blonde” we all know and love and this fight so far has taken everything out of her. The pain she’s consistently experiencing makes it hard for her to have any hope or optimism. She is a shell of her former self. But we will continue to push her to fight this thing. As she’s fought everything else in her life. She’s never taken shit from anyone, or anything, and she’s not about to now.
