Medical Costs for James Brokenbaugh

Donation protected
Sunday, July 1st we received a call from Dori, the wife of James Brokenbaugh, of a terrible accident he was in.  James, who loves motorcycles, was working on one of his dirt bikes and took it out for a test ride around his neighborhood.  He was not wearing a helmet.  His neighbor found him down and unconscious.  James was taken to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek and is currently in ICU.

James is not awake at this time but his body is responding to attempts to be woken up.  The extent of the damage occurred on the left side of his skull and brain; however, the doctors are predicting that this should not affect his abilities in any way.  He may just be a little weak on his left side but he can get that back. And with James’ love for CrossFit, we are very hopeful for him to gain back his full strength.

James has been an employee of Rescue Rooter since May 11, 2015. He has held the position of Plumbing Service Technician and currently is a Plumbing Repair Specialist.  Although James does have medical insurance through American Residential Services his stay in the hospital will definitely have him reach his Out of Pocket Maximum of $6,600 and he will most likely endure some physical therapy to get back to his positive, smiling self at work. We are hoping to raise $25,000 to help cover his medical costs and loss of income while he is taking the time to get better.
