Medical Costs for Elizabeth (Liz) Alston
Donation protected
After helping and encouraging so many others, my friend Liz Alston is now herself fighting stage 4 metastasized breast cancer that is aggressively invading all her bones. The treatment program developed to keep the cancer at bay includes chemotherapy and 2 drugs that she will have to continue taking for the remainder of her life at an out-of-pocket cost of $18,945 per year. Payments are required monthly before any shots will be given. This amount would be hard for anyone to raise once, let alone for multiple years. I am asking all of you to help alleviate the financial stress for 1 year. Liz and her husband Gary have been faithful stewards of all they have, but the financial pressure facing them now is daunting. Please please consider giving any amount to help alleviate the uncertainty of being able to fund her treatment from month to month. 1 shot is $406 monthly. The other is $464. Chemo is approximately $1000/month. Please consider gifting her the payment of 1 shot, or 1 month of chemo, but any amount would be truly appreciated. They are humble and private people, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. Also, and most importantly, please PRAY! Pray for her health, for pain management, for wisdom, and for her family as they pull through this. Thank you very much.
background- Liz is a mother of 3, grandmother of 2. She was widowed before marrying her current husband Gary. She is a retired nurse by profession and previously battled breast cancer 10 years ago. This cancer has come suddenly and aggressively. She is otherwise very health conscience, and is active in her church and community, leading women's Bible studies and prayer groups. She has done so much to encourage and strengthen other women. Please uplift her now- financially and prayerfully.
