Hello, my name is Yolanda. As some of you may know, my daughter has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Jennifer is a single mother of a beautiful 12-year-old little girl Alicia. Just over a month ago, Jen flew to Nashville to get Alicia’s father and bring him back to Iowa to be his hospice nurse. He sadly passed away on March 23rd. Jen and Alicia are still grieving losing him just to be hit with her cancer diagnosis. Jen is an emergency department RN and has dedicated her life to helping others. She has never been one to ask for a handout or help of any kind, but she will not be able to work during this time. This will be a tremendous financial strain for her and Alicia with all the household bills and the costs of her medical care. The money collected here will go towards helping her and Lici take care of expenses and help ease the financial strain that comes with a cancer diagnosis.
