On Christmas Eve I brought my father (James Rohde) to Alma hospital because he was in a lot of pain they decided to watch him over night when had a bunch of mini strokes leading to a massive stroke. He was airlifted to U of M hospital in Ann Arbor. He was in ICU @ U of M hospital for weeks in & out and just a few days ago was moved to the medical floor trying to heal on his long road of recovery still at U of M. He has a very rare blood condition called —Autoimmune Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia (HIT) it caused him to have a stroke, mini heart attack, blood clots through out his entire body causing one to go in his lung and had to be intubated twice. He had severe kidney & liver damage, he’s completely numb on his left side & has a permanent feeding tube in. He now also has pneumonia & RSV.
We are asking if anyone would like to donate money towards gas to bring his grandkids to see him and to be able to afford hotels in Ann Arbor on the weekends. My mother is disabled & is currently trying to handle her bills and now my fathers bills for the house. I just wentback to work this week but am also trying to help my mom with bills and trying to afford gas/hotels to be able to stay with my dad on the weekends & bring the kids up to visit him because he lights up when he sees his grandkids. Once he is better he will have endless amounts of doctors appointments with the specialist @ u of m, and need to go through a massive amount of rehab. We are so thankful for the family members that made it possible for us tostay with him for 2 weeks. We would appreciate anyone who would like to donate to help with gas/medical cost for my dad & we would love prayers to heal him fast and get him back home with us.
