Medical cost and any help for Cecelia
Donazione protetta
Original post date 1/27/2023: My name is Dylan Parker and I’m trying to help my sister Cecelia in a time of need for her family. She’s a single mother of 4, and she was diagnosed with cervical cancer in July of ‘22. She’s been doing chemotherapy and radiation for the last 3 weeks, and she’s still been taking care of her children, and working as much as she can. It has made her extremely tired, and she has dizzy spells. This makes it very hard for her to drive, and she has to be driven to work and all her appointments. Anything helps, I want her to have as much support as possible during this hard time. Thank you!
Update 5/24/2024: Thank you so much to everyone who helped previously. Whether you donated, shared the post, sent kind words, or kept her in your prayers. Well, recently things have taken a turn for the worse. Over the last 6 months she’s been to the E.R. many times because she had multiple infections, in her kidneys, bladder, and even her blood. We almost lost her at least 3 times from different infections. They have her on pain medication that isn’t helping her pain. She can barely eat, and gets nauseous whenever she does. She lost a lot of weight due to this, leaving her weak. She hasn’t been able to work in over 3 months and her job can only help so much at this point. She’s behind on her car loan, as well as her car insurance. She has a 17 y/o son Camren, who has autism, a 16 y/o son Jayden, a 14 y/o daughter Mariah, and a 9 y/o son Mason, and she loves them more than anything in the world. We’re doing our best to keep them in a positive mindset. Everyone is doing everything we can to make things easier for her, but money is something we cannot offer at the moment. Please help, she would do the same for you. Anything helps at this point. If you don’t feel comfortable with go fund me, reach out and we can work out other options. With everything she has going on, we were just hoping to take one less burden off her plate. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and please keep her in your prayers! She is currently at Montgomery General, and has been there for 4 days so far. Since she’s been there they have had to do multiple blood transfusions, and she’s probably gonna have to have another surgery. Her body is still trying to recover from the chemo and radiation.
Update 7/14/24: Today is Celia’s 35th Birthday. She’s finally able to leave the hospital and go home!! Back in mid June, she had to be rushed to Montgomery General hospital by ambulance, because she was passing blood clots that she had, in her legs and in her lungs, and she was not able to breathe. While there, she had to have an oxygen tank and a breathing tube. She’s been at the hospital for the last month. On June 28th, her heart stopped 3 times and she was legally dead. They resuscitated her after she had no blood flow or brain activity for an hour. We didn’t know if we would ever be able to see or talk to her again. Our entire family was in the waiting room, crying together all day, while the Drs and nurses did everything they could to stabilize her. The next day, she went by medevac to Washington hospital Center. They did emergency surgery to remove the blood clots in her lungs and added a filter so it doesn’t happen again. She’s been in and out of the ICU, step down unit, breathing tubes are out, and finally to a full time room, until she was strong enough and ready to come home.
It’s a miracle that she’s even still with us, but her mind is as sharp as ever! She’s fighting so hard!!
Update 8/28/24: Cecelia received the worst news a person could hear. The cancer has spread to other parts of her body, and the Drs feel there is nothing else they can do to treat her, so they no longer will. After seeking other opinions and finding the same results, she was told that all they can do, is try to make her comfortable. They gave her two months to live. She was sent home to essentially be on hospice, with her caregivers being our mother Meemaw and our sister Lyz. They take turns staying by her side, caring for her 24 hours a day. Between them, the kids, and family constantly checking on her, she is never alone.
Update 10/1/24: After 19 different hospital stays at 3 different hospitals since January. We don’t know exactly how much time she has left, but it’s probably days, not weeks. She can no longer sit up, communicate, eat, or express her emotions. She’s fought cancer with every fiber of her being, and she deserves to stop fighting.
Our family would like to thank you all of you from the bottom of our hearts!! Everyone who’s reached out! Everyone who’s donated! Everyone of you, who’ve shared her go fund me! You helped her pay for medical supplies, pay her bills, and support her kids and it meant the world to her!! She wouldn’t have made it this long without your help!!
Update 10/7/24:
New goal
Some of you may know, and some don’t. Celia lost her life on Oct. 3rd. This is no longer a go fund me for medical treatment, but for help for her four kids. She was a single mother and did everything she could for her kids. So now all we ask is that you show her kids the same love she showed them. If you can’t contribute, that’s fine. Share this. Keep sharing this. Never let her kids have to worry about their future, the way they’ve had to for the last two years. She was the best big sister(sitter) a brother could ask for. The best mom a kid for ask for. She was so selfless. It’s brings tears to my eyes thinking who this world has lost, but joy knowing she brought us four exceptional children, who will do great things. Thank you for taking the time to read the final update. Pray for her children. We love you all and God bless!!
