Toro and his 2 brothers were dumped on the streets of Mallorca last year. A friend of mine rescued the kittens, we bathed them, removed the fleas and gave them food and eye drops.

The kittens stayed with my friend’s former sweet neighbour, who had an extra room and kindly let us use her bathroom for these little orange fur babies.

Toro and I somehow connected right away. He felt very comfortable with me and fell asleep on my lap several times. I considered adopting him, but I felt like I didn’t have the right living situation to give him the space a cat needs. I also didn’t want to separate him from his brothers.

I named him Toro back then because he was fighting like a bull. Toro, who is now called Leo, stayed with my friend’s former neighbour and is luckily still together with his brothers. Every now and then I receive pictures and an update, which warms my heart.

The cats are playful but have had some medical issues. They have already received several treatments, as they all suffered from inflammation and needed antibiotics and other medication.

Recently, little Toro had 4 teeth removed. The costs of all this medical care are adding up, and I would like to ask for help in covering these expenses.

Holding Toro right before his very first bath, just before we removed around 100 fleas.

After his first bath, I dried him off, and he fell asleep on my chest in the sun. I cried.

After two months, I visited them again in Mallorca and looked after them for a few days. It was so nice to see the 3 of them playing and sleeping together.
