Please Help Us Get Our Mum the Urgent Medical Care She Deserves ❤️

I am setting this GoFund me up on behalf of the Ali family who will receive all of the money.

Our family is desperately asking for your help to get our mum the urgent medical care she needs. We never imagined we would find ourselves in this position, but we are now fighting against time to give our mum a chance.

Just days ago, our mum was living her normal life. Today, she is critically unwell, thousands of miles away from home, and we are desperately trying to get her somewhere she can receive the specialist care she needs.

We just want our mum back.

What happened to our mum?

Our mum travelled to Bangladesh to be with our dad, who has Parkinson’s disease and needs her by his side. Before travelling, she sought medical advice in the UK for her symptoms and was reassured that they were believed to be vertigo and nothing major.

However, shortly after arriving in Bangladesh, her condition deteriorated dramatically. She developed severe head pain and was admitted to hospital, where we were told a brain tumour had been found and that she needed brain surgery.

Since her admission, our family has faced an incredibly distressing situation. We have struggled to obtain clear answers, a reliable diagnosis and access to her medical records. We have serious concerns about how her condition has been managed and the difficulties we have faced obtaining the information needed to make informed decisions about her treatment.

We made the heartbreaking decision to put the proposed surgery on hold while seeking a second opinion and exploring safer alternatives. All we want is for our mum to receive the appropriate assessment and medical care.

Our desperate fight to get her to safety

We explored bringing our mum back to the UK for treatment, but the estimated cost of a medical flight to Heathrow is over £100,000, which is beyond our family’s means.

We then arranged to take her to Bangkok, Thailand, where hospital arrangements had been made for further assessment and treatment. Tragically, we were denied boarding, and our attempt to transport her on a commercial flight failed.

Our mum’s condition continues to deteriorate, and time is critical.

My brothers have already spent the majority of their life savings on her medical expenses in Dhaka and attempts to arrange treatment abroad. Our family has done everything we can, but we have reached a point where we simply cannot manage the costs alone.

We are now arranging an air ambulance to transport our mum to Bangkok, at an estimated cost of approximately £22,000.

Given how unwell she is and the difficulties we have already experienced trying to transport her safely, a medically equipped air ambulance is necessary. A hospital appointment has been pre-arranged in Bangkok, where we hope she can receive the urgent specialist assessment and treatment she desperately needs.

We are asking for help to cover the air ambulance, hospital assessments, treatment and additional medical expenses.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing our fundraiser. Your share could help us reach someone who can make a difference to our mum’s life.

Please help us give our mum a chance ❤️

Our mum is so much more than a patient in a hospital bed. She is a mother, a wife and a grandmother. She is the heart of our family, and we cannot bear the thought of losing her.

Our dad is also unwell with Parkinson’s disease, and our family is facing the unimaginable challenge of trying to support both our parents through this devastating time.

We miss our mum more than words can explain. We want her somewhere safe, receiving the medical care she deserves. We want the chance to hold her hand, hear her voice and, when it is safe to do so, bring her home.

We never imagined we would have to ask strangers for help, but when it comes to your mum, you will do everything in your power to save her.

Please help us raise the funds to get our mum to Bangkok for urgent medical care. Please help us give her a chance.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who donates, shares our fundraiser, sends messages or keeps our mum in their prayers. Your kindness means more to our family than you will ever know.

With love and gratitude,
A family desperately fighting for their mum. ❤️
