My name is Logam Catron. I am fundraising on behalf Mariama and her mother who redide in Somita Village, The Gambia. Mariana suffered an accident whilst breakfast was being prepared. Both hands suffered severe scolds from a tipped pot of boiling water. She is too young to communicate her pain, and nights have been sleepless for her family and neighbors in the compound. My friend Edrissa, who lives in the compound , asked me to spread this story in the hope could relieve the care she needs.

The hospital is far, medicine is scarce and costs are often prohibitive for rural families in the Gambia. Any amount however small could make a huge difference for this family. 15 dollars was already sent and baby has some pain medicine for now but will likely need creams, more bandages and possibly antibiotics.
