I am raising money for our dear colleague and friend Joey, who is a specialist nurse in our hospital for more than 22 years looking after the people of Southend. In the many years I have known him since I became a Kidney Consultant at Southend Hospital, he has always put his family in the Philippines first and has been supporting them financially, working as hard as he can.
Joey's father, Domingo, had a serious brain bleed which required him to have a stay in intensive care. It has been many months, by God's grace, he is slowly getting better but still has a road to recovery ahead of him.
Domingo is usually fit and well, is a loving father and husband. He is from a modest background and has never been wanting of things, he worked as a lay minister in his later years and continued to work in the church up to the terrible tragic incident.
He currently needs a lot of medical and nursing care. Joey has done is utmost best to pay as much as he can, paying up to £60,000 so far including his life savings. He is now struggling to keep up with the payments and those who work with him would like to help our dear friend and colleague as best we can.
We are asking if you can be generous enough to help our friend in coping with the financial burden no matter how small.
All donations raised will be used to cover medical costs for Joey's father, Domingo's care.
Thank you so much for helping us to support Joey.
