Hello my name is Tanya and I’m wanting to help a family member who is like a son to us with donations to his long term care and current care. Mike Lura was riding his motorcycle in California when he had a tragic accident that has left him hospitalized with no feeling below his collarbone. He has a long road ahead and the prognosis isn’t good. He broke his neck, shattering his vertebrae. He may never walk again. He will need lots of help and support for his future. The house will need to be equipped for wheelchair accesses and equipment.

Mike is married with 3 children. His wife, Rylee is currently at his side in the hospital in California. She has taken time off work to be there with Mike for medical decisions and support. Due to his injuries they are unable to move him to Arizona where they reside until after they do surgery to stabilize his neck. They can’t do surgery till the swelling goes down. This will be a huge financial burden with neither one working right now.

Mike has been riding motor cross since he was a kid. His eldest son Bryson, who is 11 also rides bikes with his dad. His daughter Kenydee is 8 and loves gymnastics. His youngest son Paxston is 3.

Rylee’s mother Michele is currently helping with the kids in Arizona. This family has been torn apart and would greatly appreciate everyone’s help. No donation is to small and prayers are greatly needed and appreciated as well. Thank you all and please share.

Mike has made it through two difficult surgeries. He’s having some difficulty with low oxygen levels. His blood pressure is low as well. Mike still has no feeling from the collarbone down and it’s a long recovery ahead. He’s still facing a lot of challenges and this family can still use our prayers and any donations are greatly appreciated to help this family get through this difficult time. While at the hospital someone stole Mikes racing motorcycle and his son’s Motorcycle out of the truck. Due to the fact they were out of state and had no place to store the bikes. No one has told Mike yet or his son. So those that know Mike and ride with him know what the bikes look like please keep your eyes open because it will be you and the shops the thieves will look to sell them too.
