Hi, I'm Jose Balandran, and like many, I'm uninsured. I was on a trip recently where I got a blister on my toe. This developed into a bad infection and my toe had to be amputated. I'm still recovering from the surgery and it's been a difficult time physically and mentally.

My medical bills are very high and I'm hoping to get some assistance. I have applied for some state charity care assistance, but it won't cover all my bills.

I'm asking for any kind of help you might be able to provide. I'm not sure how much I'll ultimately need, but I know I'll need at least $1,000 to pay for some current bills that aren't covered by the aid. I'll update the amount once I know that total in the end.
