We have created this GoFundMe for the benefit of Mikhael Wolde-Michael (affectionately known as Micky) and his family. On Sunday, 12:15am November 4th, Mikhael (a junior at Alhambra High School, and player on the varsity football team) was a passenger in a car involved in a serious automobile accident in Martinez, CA. Mikhael’s father, who is a single father, received a call no parent wants to receive. Mikhael had been transported to John Muir Medical Center’s trauma center and was in serious condition. Mikhael was in ICU for over a week in a coma. Mikhael thank goodness woke up from the coma and was moved out of ICU at John Muir. He was then transferred to Kaiser in Oakland, and as of 11.18.2023, Mikhael will be in a Kaiser Rehabilitation Center in Vallejo, CA. There is no known date of when Mikhael will be able to go home to his family. Mikhael’s father has had to take off work and has been by Micky’s side day and night. We would like to help Mikhael’s family during this very difficult time. All proceeds will be provided directly to Mikhael’s father to help pay for taking time off work, medical costs not covered by insurance, gas, food costs for the family, and other expenses the journey of his recovery will require.
