Medical bills plaguing me for over a year

I've tried to avoid going this route for a year. Normally, I'd just open art commissions to cover bills for the month. I'm way too backed up from work I took on back in November and I am not comfortable making my clients wait any longer than they have to.

So back in October 2021, I became very ill. My insides felt like they were burning and I would lose feeling in my arms and legs. I even had urinary retention which landed me in the emergency room twice. It took multiple cat scans, MRI's, and finding a completely different doctor to find out what a simple blood test would have told me. I had developed gout.

I take medication that treats the uric acid in my blood and I recovered within a few months. Since then, I've been slowly paying back the debt that I racked up over two months. If you recall, I recently did a fundraiser due to my employer not paying me for an entire week. I immensely appreciate everyone that chipped in and helped me out. Sadly, even with all your help, doctor bills came in and ate a good portion of donations.

Honestly, I'm at the point where I'm not afraid to ask for help without doing commissions. These bills, which could have been avoided if my original primary care doctor did proper blood work, have been crippling me for over a year. I don't expect this to be funded completely anytime in the near future, but I'm at the point where if feel if I don't ask for help I'm going to drown in this debt.
