Please consider donating to Bobby & Samantha to help with living expenses and medical bills while Bobby is battling cancer.
Even if you can’t donate all the prayers are appreciated as well!
*Dec 11th*
Bobby is back in the room from having the kyphoplasty. It was way more involved than they thought it was going to be. What was supposed to take 30-45 mins took them almost 2 hours, but hopefully this helps with the pain he’s been having. They found several tumors in his spine they had to burn to try to cut off the blood supply to them was the reason the procedure took so long. Continue to pray for a speedy recovery!
*Dec 11th*
Bobby is back in the room from recovering having the port put in. They called and said they would be doing the kyphoplasty today also at about 4 as soon as the other Dr got here.
*Dec 11th*
They just took him down to have his port put in. It should take them about an hour and he will be back in the room. However, He will have to have another surgery on his back. The cancer has started to deteriorate the bones causing a break in L1,L2 & L4 with a 60% height loss. They want to go in and put cement in the breaks to try to help with some of his pain. We’re not sure when they are going to do it; it may be later on today or tomorrow depending on how he’s doing after he gets his port put in. Just continue to pray!
*Dec 9th*
Update on Bobby:
They got his blood pressure under control for now and put him on a pain pump last night. He has to go in a little bit to have another MRI. They found a hole in his spine and they are trying to figure out if it’s the cancer that has eaten it out or not and how far it spread into his back. We will have a surgery consult today and they will try to put his port in tomorrow to start chemo/radiation. Just continue to keep us in your prayers!
*Dec 8th*
Say a quick prayer for Bobby tonight! He was admitted back into the hospital today with extremely high blood pressure and severe pain. Oncologist is supposed to come around tomorrow to try to give us some answers.
*Nov 20th*
Bobby had his colonoscopy and the procedure couldn’t be fully completed because the mass in his colon was too big for the scope to go through. A biopsy was taken and came back as cancer, so now we know it indeed started in the colon and spread to everywhere it’s at now.
*Oct.31st*
Pathology report came back as adenocarcinoma involving trabecular bone. That’s all we know for now until a dr goes over the report with us and gives us a more clear answer on what we’re dealing with. Just continue to pray!
*Oct.27th*
Say a quick prayer for Bobby. He is getting ready to go back for his biopsy. They are concerned with his blood pressure still and his platelet count. Platelets are supposed to be Normal range: 150 - 500 K/uL and his is 1,047.
Robbins said we could get the results back as soon as 2 days! So pray we get them back fast so we can move forward with treatment!
*Oct.22nd*
Another update:
The stent in Bobby’s kidney is working and draining the infection out so his pain is coming down a little bit.
The oncologist came in and told us that it would have to be changed out in 3 months because they are known to clog up and fail.
The doctor came in and talked to us a little about what was going on and confirmed that it is in fact cancer, but they don’t know where all it is or what stage until they get the biopsy.
One of the radiologist came in and told us that the other radiologist that would be doing Bobby’s biopsy would be at the hospital tomorrow so they will try to squeeze him in to go ahead and get it done. Then he told us after the results come back they will be putting a mediport in Bobby’s chest for chemo because it’s easier on the body to distribute the chemo where it needs to go. They will decide after they go over all the labs if he will be doing radiation also.
His blood work came back and his CANCER ANTIGEN 19-9 is supposed to be below <=35.00 U/mL and it’s 97.27 and his CARCINOEMBRYONIC ANTIGEN is supposed to be below <=5.0 ng/mL and it’s 1220.6
So please continue to keep us in your prayers!

Update:
“They got the stent put in Bobby’s left kidney and surgery went well. However, we were informed that it wouldn’t fix the problem. It will drain the kidney and help get rid of the infection faster, but the mass is putting so much pressure on it it’s caused other issues to the outside of the kidney. He is still in a lot of pain and his blood pressure is still not under control because of it. We will be in the hospital at least until Friday at this point patiently waiting on the drs to go ahead with the biopsy so we can start treatment”.

Update from Sam:
“Continued prayers for Bobby are appreciated! He was admitted into the hospital this morning due to severe pain.
The mass is pushing on his kidney and causing it not to drain properly which caused it to become infected. They will be doing a stent in his left kidney in the morning to try to drain it and relieve some of the pressure.
They can’t get is blood pressure under control yet because the mass is growing around his aorta and weakening it.
They found diverticulitis in his colon so he’s on meds for that also.
They will meet with the radiologist in the morning to see if they are able to go ahead and do the biopsy or if they are going to have to send him to UAB or UMC because of where it’s at and his blood pressure being so high.
But we will know more tomorrow after we meet with the rest of the doctors to see what the next steps are”.

A post from Sam:
“Bobby apparently broke his back many years ago in an accident and didn’t know it.. fast forward to March of this year he hurt it again and we began going to the hospital/pain clinic/doctor visits to try to see what was going on because of the amount of pain he was in and not being able to work. We found out his spine was calcium wrapped around the break and it had started to break apart and push on other things along with bulging disc and ruptured disc etc which led us to a multiple MRI’s and CT Scans.
The scans were clear of anything other than his back issues until August 1st where it showed a mass of 1.9cm from which it has grown to 4.8cm as of an October 6th. We have recently learned that the mass is wedged between his left kidney and his spine with his aortic vein wrapped in it so surgery is not an option and this is more than likely worsening the probems and pushing even more on the areas in his back causing more pain. After the biopsy on the 27th we will know more about it and they will determine if he will be scheduled chemotherapy or radiation.
He also has enlarged lymph nodes and places in the bottom of his lungs they will be looking at so we ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers as we continue down this road and figure out what our options are”.
