Hello, my name is Aaron and im trying to raise a little bit of funds to get my life back on track. Let me tell you my story.

It all started in may 2016 I was on a night shift and I began to swell like a balloon. I was rushed to the A&E to be then rushed to a specialists hospital. They did a biopsy and it came back that I had a disease called FSGS. FSGS is basically my body thinking my own kidneys are attacking me and my body tries to fight them off resulting in failing kidneys.

3000 people in the world get diagnosed with my disease yearly so there is no research or cure at this current moment. I’ve done every treatment from steroids, to chemotherapy to no rewards.

My kidney finally failed in may 2020 through the Covid pandemic and I was rushed into dialysis. I was on dialysis up until November 2020 when I was lucky enough to receive a kidney from my mum which failed after 6 hours due to a blood clot in the artery. I was then told I needed a chest line put into my heart for emergency dialysis and I was on this until September 2021 when I received my sisters kidney which was working great up to 90% function up until September last year. I have recently had a biopsy on this kidney to find out the FSGS returned and it’s been here since April 2022 and was misdiagnosed. They gave me 6/8 months with this kidney before I got on life saving treatment again. In 3 days time I will be going in for my operation to get the chest line fitted back into my heart for a new treatment in hope is will slow down the failure!

As you can imagine my daily life is a struggle, I can’t do most tasks and just getting out of bed some days is my biggest achievement. With being unable to work I did have to take a loan out and a couple of credit cards that added up to £8000 over the 3 years. I’m in no way asking for such an amount of money. I’m just making this go fund me through hope of a little bit of financial help towards paying my monthly bills.

UPDATE: surgery completed and went well. A few complications with the artery but everything is good now!

£3000 raised so far and that has pretty much paid off my loan which I took out to pay medical/housing with being off work!

anything else raised from now will go towards credit cards that I paid my phone bills, medications, gas and electricity. £8000 debt down to £5000 in just one day! Thank you so much everybody ❤️
