Medical Bills Help needed -2 separate eye issues

Hello,

My name is Joel Held & I am asking for help with my medical bills. This past spring/summer I suffered two distinct eye issues in a 3-week span-- First, my left eye suffered what is known as a Branch Retinal Arterial Occlusion-- which left me with a blind spot covering a portion of my vision. Then 3 weeks later I had a detached retina in my right eye which required emergency surgery.

There was a lot of anxiety at this time-- turns out both issues were unrelated.

The left eye will not get any better. Being diabetic, & already having had a heart attack 9 years ago, there were concerns from my Doctor's whether there was a clotting issue which then needed to be explored. Some of the tests done included wearing a heart monitor and having a TEE-Echocardiogram done. Fortunately, no other heart or clotting issues were found.

The emergency surgery for the detached retina went well-- recovery has been good though even now my vision is still not quite back to where it was, & I still have some fluid behind the retina that needs to be reabsorbed-- this has left me with some dark spots.

The bills came very fast and furious these past few months-- although we do have health insurance, these procedures, tests, and other related costs have been overwhelming.

It is not easy to ask for financial help!
