Medical Emergency

Hi all. My brother Jeff and I are creating a go fund me page to try and help my parents - who have had medical tragedies strike back to back in the last week.

On August 3rd (4 weeks after our dad had open heart surgery), his mother passed away. Unable to get sick due to his recovery, my mom was gathering the cremation documents to bring to the nursery home. Upon coming inside she tripped over the dog and fell. She broke her hip, femur and pelvis and had to be transferred to Harborview.

She is currently still awaiting surgery - stuck in ER triage - 5 days later. My dad is unable to see her in the hospital due to his own surgery only being a couple weeks ago.

Our mom is the rock of our family and has been the primary caretaker for my dad these last ten years. She’s seen him through stage III esophageal cancer, knee surgery, back surgery, a stroke, a pulmonary embolism and so many 911 calls for his AFIB heart condition. He wouldn’t be alive today without her and now it’s time for us to be there for her.

Medical bills are quickly adding up between both of them. They never ask for help. Both of them are amazing people who have gone through tragedy after tragedy and we’ve had so many people asking how they can help. This was our idea how. The kind words, outreach, meals, prayers and thoughts mean more than our family can say.
