Medical Bills for Wiley & Lola

Update 6/25: Wiley and Lola are both recovering from their surgeries. They have a long road ahead of them and are not 'out of the woods' yet. Vet bills have exceed $16K. Nick is in awe of the outpour of thoughts and generosity. 

Hello all, 

Nicholas Pierro's dogs (Wiley & Lola) were attacked today, June 23rd. 

While walking their usual route, a large dog ran out from an open gate and grabbed Lola, shaking her viciously like a toy. Nick sprung into action and jumped on the attacking dog until (she) let go of Lola. She then grabbed Wiley and did the same. The attacking dog's owner did nothing but yell at his dog, to no avail. 

Both Wiley and Lola have various injuries requiring substantial veterinary care. Lola's puncture wounds may require muscle repair surgery while the integrity of Wiley's spinal cord is unknown at this time.

We are grateful that Uncle Nick didn't sustain damages in this dog attack but our hearts hurt for Wiley and Lola.
