Medical Bills for Tiffany and Baby Carr

“When it rains, look for rainbows…” – Oscar Wilde.
Tiffany and Dave’s story starts in 2014, where over the next four years, they built a home and a life together. At the end of 2019, Dave proposed to Tiffany – and they began 2020 with plans of a wedding and starting a family together. Due to COVID-19, the couple had to sadly postpone their spring wedding, their only thought being to keep their family and friends as safe as possible during this time of uncertainty. But in May, the first rainbow appeared – Tiffany and Dave found out they were expecting their first child, a baby girl. This was the happiest of unexpected surprises. Now the days were filled with picking out nursery decor, deciding on a name, and the growing excitement that soon they would be parents to a baby they had wanted for so long.
On September 16th, Tiffany went in for an ultrasound on a breast lump that had been bothering her. At 21 weeks pregnant, she was diagnosed with Stage 2B Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, classified as Triple Negative Breast Cancer. The second rainbow appeared in that the cancer, nicknamed Stella, had not spread and the doctors were able to get her started on chemotherapy within ten days of her diagnoses. Right now, the plan is to do four rounds of chemotherapy, and then deliver Baby Girl Carr around 35-37 weeks. After the baby is born, Tiffany will continue with surgeries and more chemotherapy, while also being postpartum and learning to navigate the world of motherhood.
Finding rainbows in storms seems a theme fitting for this year, because Tiffany and Dave decided not to wait a day longer and eloped the Friday before Tiffany’s first round of chemotherapy. They wanted to become an official team, Team Carr, and face this head-on, together.
If you know Tiffany, you know that her heart is huge, giving, and caring. As a nurse at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Tiffany’s desire was to go to New York City in the middle of the pandemic to help the thousands of people who were dying everyday of a disease that could easily be transmitted to her.  Now, it’s our turn to help Tiffany and Dave. If your heart calls you to, please consider donating to help with the many expenses that can quickly add up from this journey Tiffany and Dave are now embarking on. If you are unable to donate, please share so that others might feel inspired to do so.
Tiffany and Dave cannot wait to put this all behind them- to enjoy their baby girl, have their wedding, and start a new chapter of their lives together as a family of three. Tiffany can, and will, beat Stella. Thank you for your prayers, your donations, your ‘shares’, and your love and support. The storm clouds might be casting some shadows, but that final rainbow will soon appear! We can’t wait for Tiffany to get that “all clear!”
