Hi, my name is Pam Pugh and I'm starting this page for my oldest and dearest friend, Deanah Mack and her son, Dejon who desperately need help. Here's their current situation in Deanah's words:

A beautiful sunny afternoon on Thursday, February 9, 2023, turned into a traumatic event for my son Dejon Mack. Suddenly, he was thrown into a major accident near Albuquerque, NM, involving snow, black ice, and semi-trucks. Many people died during this tragic weather day. Thank God his life was spared, and he lives on to spread God’s Word and Love!!

Unfortunately, Dejon’s right leg was badly mangled, breaking both his tibia and fibula bones along with many torn ligaments, a crushed ankle, and a small spinal fracture.

His injuries are very severe, requiring long-term recovery, and will affect his ability to gain meaningful employment in the near future. He's currently in rehab in Tampa, FL. It could take up to at least a year for him to fully recover. And sadly, Dejon does not have any medical insurance – all the expenses will have to be out of pocket.

Dejon was exploring the opportunity to drive long-haul semi-trucks, while also maintaining his lawn care and home improvement services in Memphis. However, because of the accident, he will not be able to pursue or continue either of these careers. Dejon will be 34 years old on March 30th and has a bright future ahead of him despite all the obstacles he is currently facing. He is a fun-loving, hard-working young man who LOVES GOD and his DOGS, and will do all he can to get back on his feet.

In an effort to help Dejon keep his home and pay for routine and medical expenses during his rehab and months of recovery, we are asking for help from those of you that can afford to contribute and prayers for his speedy recovery. Our goal is to just maintain his expenses so he doesn’t lose what he’s already worked so hard for.

Your prayers and contributions are so truly appreciated!! We are not asking for a handout, just a “help out” during this time of need…helping Dejon to a full recovery.
