I cannot believe I am writing this as it has happened very quickly. My aunt, Jessie (Bachety) Kranis, was diagnosed with cancer just under a month ago and has been in the hospital receiving extensive care for most of that time. With treatment and stays at both LIJ and Memorial Sloan Kettering, our family is ensuring she is getting the best care available. With good care, comes mounting medical expenses. Any amount that you can contribute will alleviate some stress that comes with such a shocking diagnosis for an irreplaceable mom, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. My aunt is out of work, and we would like to use these funds to also pay for living expenses. Please keep her husband, two daughters, ages 14 and 16, and the rest of our family in your thoughts and prayers as she continues her treatment.
