“Jessica, I can’t see!!!” Three weeks ago, life changed. After many doctors, tests, and a week in the hospital, I have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. This is God’s plan, and we put our faith in Him.

Jessica and I have lived and taught in Guatemala for the past 8 years, and we are grateful for every moment and every memory. We have met beautiful people and experienced amazing adventures. Although we are sad to leave, we know this is is the direction God is taking us, so we will leave Guatemala to head back to the United States this summer.

Medical and moving expenses have and will continue to be a challenge, so we turn to you for help. Our family plans to return to Florida within the next few months, and we have begun to put the pieces together to make this happen. I now have medical insurance in the US, but as a new patient, it will take at least 6 months to get a referral and appointment with a neurologist to begin my MS treatment in Florida. Because that is too long, I have found a wonderful doctor in Guatemala who can begin my treatment here, but I must pay out of pocket.
