On Monday, August 28th, Sergio was on his way home from work when he was involved in a major car accident. He was driving when a car sped around him and cut him off, clipping the front end of Sergio’s vehicle. This caused Sergio’s car to flip several times until it hit a telephone pole. The pole and live wires landed on his car, trapping him inside and causing a brush fire for some time before he could be cut out by first responders. He sustained a major wound to his leg causing him to lose quite a bit of blood. He sustained multiple rib fractures, pelvic fractures, a broken ulna and a laceration to his spleen. He was taken to the hospital via helicopter where he underwent surgery and is expecting a few more surgeries over the next few days. His vitals and blood count need to improve before he can have these surgeries. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him. He is the sole provider for his wife and their 4 children. Please consider helping ease the financial burden during this hard time so that Sergio and his family can focus on healing.

8/31 UPDATE
He had surgery yesterday. His arm operation was wonderful. His leg, didn’t go as we had hoped. There was just a ton of contamination in there because the wound was so so dirty. There was also a ton of infection in there. They cleaned it out the best that they could. The not so ideal part is that there was a lot of dead tissue and dead muscle and skin. Damaged nerves, tendons, and even arteries. So they had to cut quite a bit out. Please continue to specifically pray over this update and pray over Brylin also, she is so strong and doing so well during this difficult time.
