Medical bills for Rodney "Yogi"

Updated 09/08/19. As most of you know, Rodney Shaffer of windber was diagnosed with a stage 4 glioblastoma "brain tumor". It was located in the occipital lobe of his brain which controls his vision. The mass was found in early December while he was having an MRI for inner ear problems which were unrelated to the tumor. Rodney underwent surgery to remove the mass on January 12, 2018. When he woke from anesthesia following the 6 hour surgery it was apparent that he had lost his right sided vision. He was surrounded by his family throughout the days following the surgery. If any of you know Rodney, you know that he was joking and making the best of the situation. Rodney still has his vision loss and suffers from headaches and dizzy spells. As an army 82nd Airborne veteran, Rodney has always put others first. His wife Rose, son Corey, Daughter-in-law Ashley, and grand children Blake, Aubrey, and Grace were always put before his own needs. But it's our turn to return the favor. As Rodney's son, this is one of the hardest things I have ever had to write. My dad has always been the strongest man I've known. Always helping anyone in need. I remember stopping on the side of a 4 lane highway to change a tire in the pouring rain for a complete stranger. Why? Because that's the kind of man he is. I need this hero around to help me instill those same values into my children. We are looking for help paying for treatments that will follow his chemotherapy and radiation. Travel to other cancer centers, medications, diet changes and more expenses. Any and all help will be much appreciated. And please don't forget the prayers!! Thank you all in advance.
