Days before Christmas, Rick Hicks was rushed to the hospital by his kids. He was diagnosed with a brain bleed.

From One Hundred Mile House, he was transported to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops for more tests, and is now going to Vancouver for emergency brain surgery.  

His wife, Paula, has taken a leave from work and is staying near Ricky.  She's flying from Kamloops to Vancouver, and staying in a hotel while Ricky's in the hospital. Both of which are incredibly expensive around the holidays.

Donations will help the family pay their bills, and keep Paula close, while Ricky's in the hospital.We don't know Ricky's prognosis, or how long they'll need to be in the city for. Every little bit helps.
