Hello, my name is Melissa, and on Jan 13, 2025, I was diagnosed with a 31 mm long and 8 mm wide staghorn calculus in my right kidney with severe hydronephrosis. I was hospitalized and had lots of tests done. Then I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Thank God it was all in the same kidney, my right kidney, which is functioning at 0%. My left one is at 84%, so on June 6th, I have to get my right kidney removed. We are praying that the cancer hasn't spread. I have changed all my eating habits, and all I drink is 4000 mls of water and 2 cups of coffee a day. I did have to go back to work until surgery because I pay for all of my medical bills. I already have $3000 I'm paying on, and my surgery hasn't even happened yet. I normally hate to ask for help, but this is something very serious in my life, and I can use all the support I can get. The state won't help me because they say I make too much money. After surgery, I will be off work for a few weeks, and I'm stressed to the core over it. So, any donations will help me. Thank you for listening to my story, and keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely, a woman who is gonna beat cancer!!!! Melissa M. Courtney
