Medical Bills for Meningioma Brain Tumor Surgery

Hi, my name is Karla and I am making this GoFund me on behalf of my step father Melqui. On Friday April 5th he went to the doctor because he felt like he was losing his vision. Upon further examination he was sent to the ER because they knew something was wrong. At the ER he had several test performed on him and he was informed he had a Meningioma brain tumor that had to be removed immediately. The news came as a shock to everyone. He had emergency brain surgery on Saturday April 6th and they realized the tumor was the size of a baseball. He is now recovering but it will be a long road with lots of medical bills. We are still waiting on the biopsy results to find out if the tumor was malignant. If that were the case he would need to start chemotherapy as soon as possible. I am making this account to help him with medical expenses as well as to help him keep up his personal expenses as he will not be able to work for an unknown period of time since he has lost some of his memory. Hola, mi nombre es Karla y estoy haciendo este GoFund en nombre de mi padrastro Melqui. El viernes 5 de abril acudió al médico porque sentía que estaba perdiendo la visión. Tras un examen más detenido, lo enviaron a urgencias porque sabían que algo andaba mal. En urgencias le realizaron varias pruebas y le informaron que tenía un tumor cerebral meningioma que debía ser extirpado de inmediato. La noticia fue un shock para todos. Tuvo una cirugía cerebral de emergencia el sábado 6 de abril y se dieron cuenta de que el tumor era del tamaño de una pelota de béisbol. Ahora se está recuperando, pero será un largo camino con muchas facturas médicas. Todavía estamos esperando los resultados de la biopsia para saber si el tumor era maligno. Si ese fuera el caso, necesitaría comenzar la quimioterapia lo antes posible. Estoy creando esta cuenta para ayudarlo con los gastos médicos y para ayudarlo a mantener sus gastos personales, ya que no podrá trabajar por un período de tiempo desconocido ya que ha perdido parte de su memoria. ¡Apreciamos todas las donaciones desde el fondo de nuestro corazón!
