Anyone who knows Kathryn, knows that a light exudes from her anywhere she goes. She is unbelievably kind, has the warmest smile, and would do absolutely anything for others. Her husband, Chad, is one of the most selfless and hardworking people I have ever met. He always goes above and beyond to do anything for his family. These two are the epitome of what it looks like to show Christ’s love to each other and those around them. With that said, I know that they would never ask for this in a million years. Those that are familiar with Kathryn’s story, know that she fights a continual battle with her muscle disease that has been complicated by various other health conditions over the years causing countless hospital stays. Yet, those that know her will also say that she always has a smile on her face and praising Jesus amidst such hardships. This muscle disease has left her unable to work, because of the immense risk of her body to go into muscle breakdown. Her daughter, Emily, has been my best friend for years and I have always held their family near and dear to my heart. However, the last few years I have felt an immense pull from the Lord to help ease the burden that Chad and Kathryn carry financially, but have never been sure what that would look like. After Kathryn just recently was admitted to the hospital having a stroke, I broke down in tears the second Emily called me. I constantly asked myself “How in the world are Chad and Kathryn still posting “God is still good!” when I feel like they can’t ever catch a break?!” Yet they still do, and that is a testament of who they are and how much the Lord is reaching others through them. All this to say, I cannot even begin to fathom the countless medical bills that have piled up from all of Kathryn’s hospital stays and I would love more than anything to be able to lessen that weight even a little bit for them. Whether prayers or financially, I so so appreciate you reading this to spread some love to one of the most amazing families I know.
