My name is Joey Ernst and I’m a friend and classmate of John Finnegan’s. John is a member of Chicago Pipefitters Union Local 597 and was injured while at work. He received 2nd and 3rd degree burns to 40% of his body, and he is currently in the ICU at the Loyola University Medical Center and will remain there while he continues to receive intensive treatment. John is a great friend, outstanding welder and a terrific person to be around.
