Medical Bills for Jeremiah
Donation protected
Hi friends and family. As many of you know, Jeremiah was diagnosed with end stage renal disease (ESRD) in late 2022. His kidney functioning rapidly decreased at this time. Beginning in January 2023, Jeremiah underwent 5 surgeries to insert a port that would allow him to do dialysis at home. The first 4 surgeries were unsuccessful. In addition, we've made many trips to Fargo for transplant meetings and surgeries which incurred more costs as it is 4 hours from home.
We are asking for help with outstanding medical bills for surgeries and upcoming needed procedures in order for Jeremiah to be a viable candidate for transplant. We've received word that we may have a living donor that qualifies so we are hopeful!
We do have medical insurance through Alicia's work, but it doesn't cover it all. He's also been approved for Medicare, but it wasn't able to be effective until May 1st. In addition, Medicare won't cover it all. We are a one-income household currently as Jeremiah is unable to work and we aren't currently able to draw an income from the resort.
We've been hesitant to ask for help, but family and friends have encouraged us to start. We appreciate any amount you can give.
