Medical bills for goats

Hello! Rose Bridge Farm is a sanctuary that offers a home to many rescued animals. We give our sweet farm friends a second chance at life and a new purpose.

An accident happened on September 9th, and we could really use a lot of help to raise funds, which will be used to pay to save four of our precious goats' lives.

Unfortunately, Caramel, Harry, Hoot and Peppe broke into the chicken coop and were caught eating chicken food. This may not seem like a big deal, as many people think goats can eat anything, but this is far from the truth. It is actually deadly. Thankfully, one of our farmers caught them in the act, but they had already eaten way too much. They had to be rushed to the ER at University of Penn's New Bolton center. It was highly suggested by the vet to have surgery to save their lives. It is very expensive - $2,000 per goat, so a total of $8,000. We made the decision to have the surgery because we love these goats so much! We are happy to let you know that the surgery went well. The goats are recovering at the hospital. They are expected to come home this week and have a two-week recovery period where they will rest and heal.

These goats help us remember to be grateful for the simple things in life. They remind us to be grateful for a loving home, fresh water and food, a hug or loving touch, sunshine, health, and life itself!
